Dear foreign graduates of the second degree studies

You are cordially invited to take up doctoral (third degree) studies (direction: Electrical Engineering) at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology.

These studies extend the knowledge and practical skills in the field of electrical engineering.

For many years, the direction Electrical Engineering, thanks to its versatility, has given our graduates the greatest opportunities of finding employment in the industry. In the contemporary world there is always the need of generation, transmission and distribution of electricity.

In the European Union industry, the so-called maintenance services are the best-paid jobs. Without them, the functioning of enterprises, transport, agriculture, entertainment and health care is not possible.

The studies are conducted in Polish. In order to undertake the third-cycle /PhD/ studies at the Silesian University of Technology, foreign nationals must possess a relevant legalized document which entitles them to undertake such studies in the country of issue.

Applicants are required: to complete a year-long preparatory course to enable them to study in Polish, in units designated by the Appropriate Minister with respect to higher education, or to possess a certificate in Polish as a foreign language issued by the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language, or to obtain a confirmation by the Silesian University of Technology that their command of the Polish language is adequate and sufficient to take up studies in Polish.
