APPLICATION OF SDE TOOLBOX TO SOLVING STOCHASTIC DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

Summary. The article discusses the possibility of the SDE Toolbox intended for solving stochastic differential equations. The basic advantages and disadvantages of the assumptions made by the author of the SDE Toolbox are shown. There are shown usage of the toolbox.

ANALYSIS OF CALCULATION ACCURACY OF ELECTROMECHANICAL EIGENVALUES BASED ON DIFFERENT DISTURBANCE WAVEFORMS IN A POWER SYSTEM

Summary. In the paper there are presented the investigation results concerning the accuracy analysis of calculations of power system state matrix eigenvalues associated with electromechanical phenomena based on the disturbance waveforms of the instantaneous power, angular speed and power angle of generators of particular generating units of the power system. The method used to calculate the eigenvalues consists in approximation of the disturbance waveforms with the waveforms being a superposition of modal components whose parameters depend on the searched eigenvalues.

STABILITY OF OBSERVERS WITH NON-PROPORTIONAL FEEDBACKS ON THE EXAMPLE OF MAGNETIC FLUXES OBSERVERS OF THE INDUCTION MOTOR

Summary. The paper presents three structures of linear, full-order, non-proportional state observers, applied to reconstruction of magnetic fluxes of an induction motor. Each of presented observers requires modifications to be introduced to its structure, in order to provide observer’s stability. Reasons of instability are discussed and stability conditions are given.

USE OF GENETIC ALGORITHM FOR EVALUATION OF THE QUALITY OF THE CONTROL OF A MICROPOWER SYSTEM INCLUDING THE UNCERTAINTY OF MATHEMATICAL MODEL PARAMETERS

Summary. In the paper there is presented the analysis of the quality of the control of a micro power source installed in a low-voltage network. Investigations were carried out for the nonlinear model when taking into account the parameter uncertainty. A genetic algorithm was used for the evaluation of the quality of the control, determining the parameters of the analysed system for which the value of the performance index was the least favourable.

RESONANCE IN PARALLEL FRACTIONAL – ORDER REACTANCE CIRCUIT

Summary. The article analyzes phase resonance phenomenon in a simple parallel RL_βC_α circuit consisting of a real coil and a capacitor (eg. supercapacitor), modelled as fractional – order elements. Simple fractional – order models have been assumed and relations for equivalent admittance of the concerned circuit have been derived. From the general phase resonance condition, relations describing resonance frequency have been derived too. Various cases of parameters α and β occuring in the circuit have been analyzed. Obtained results have been illustrated by an example and some conclusions from the analysis have been drawn.

IMAGE PROCESSING ALGORITHM – BLOB DETECTION AND ANALYSIS

Summary. This paper presents and describes in details an image processing algorithm for detecting and analyzing blobs. The algorithm has been implemented and tested on TMS320C6437 digital signal processor.

ASSESSING THE ACCURACY OF PARAMETER ESTIMATION OF A SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR MODEL USING NOISY WAVEFORMS UNDER LOAD CONDITIONS

Summary. Parametr estimation of the mathematical model of a synchronous generator in a single-machine power system is presented in the paper. Estimation is based on transient waveforms, first contamined with noise and then filtered, caused by a step change in the voltage regulator reference voltage. The least-squares method was used for parameter estimation and a gradient algorithm for minimisation of mean square error.

THE NEW LOW-LOSSES POWER MOSFET DRIVERS

Summary. This paper presents a systematic approach to design high performance gate drive circuits for high speed switching applications. In the project tested two inte-grated drivers DEIC420, DEIC515, and additionally two discrete drivers 8xUCC27526 and 4xFDMQ8203 have been designed. The new MOSFET Drivers have been verified by using the universal laboratory in Department of Power Electronics, Electrical Drives and Robotics Silesian University of Technology.

ABOUT THE IMPACT OF THE SHAPE OF MEMBERSHIP FUNCTIONS ON RESULT OF FUZZY OPTIMIZATION IN ONE-PHASE SYSTEM WITH NON-IDEAL PERIODICAL NONSINUSOIDAL VOLTAGE SOURCE

Summary. In the paper has been presented the application of fuzzy mathematical programming in optimization problem of one-phase electrical system with non-ideal periodical nonsinusoidal voltage source and linear load. Moreover, in the paper has been analyzed the impact of the shape of membership functions describing the potential changes of parameters of the on optimization results as well the form of fuzzy constraint has been generalized. This form makes enable to describe the constraint for any shape of membership function. The optimal current as the solution of optimization problem is obtained as a real (not fuzzy) result, in frequency domain, and it is the result of fuzzy optimization, i.e. in case that the constraint of active power needs not to be fulfilled precisely.

ANALYSIS OF THE PSEUDO RANDOM SIGNALS IN THE STATISTICAL TEST SUITES

Summary. This paper describes application of some of the statistical test suites that are designed to analyze and test of the pseudo random sequences. Three of the most popular statistical test suites are described. Basic features, advantages and disadvantages as well as the results’ interpretation method was discussed.

GENERALISED FREQUENCY DOMAIN DISTORTION MEASURES FOR SYSTEMS OF LTI FILTER – DECIMATOR/INTERPOLATOR CLASS

Summary. The paper proposes a generalization of the frequency domain distortion measures (amplitude, phase nonlinearity and interband aliasing) for systems belong to an LTI-decymator/interpolator class which is a subclass of LTV systems. By using the specific properties of LTI-decymator/interpolator class system, which are: the periodicity of the impulse response and the ability to obtain a so-called “reduced form”, it was possible to define the distortion measures in the same way as it is possible for the LTI systems. This allows to use a similar mathematical methods to evaluate the quality of the filters and also allows to interpret the results in a similar way, what was shown in exemplary evaluation of a wavelet multiband filtering system of EEG signal.

SENSORLESS CONTROL OF HIGH-SPEED PM BLDC MOTOR

Summary. In the paper were examined the possibilities to control a high-speed sensorless PM BLDC motor, with a maximal speed 100 000 rpm and power 1 kW, designed in the Department of Power Electronics, Electrical Drives and Robotics - KENER, Silesian University of Technology. The article describes methods based on phase voltages integration and the third harmonic, also presents a method of open-loop starting and ways of determining the position of the stopped rotor. Described sensorless control methods were examined by computer simulation, in order to test the possibilities of their implementation in the high-speed motor project.
